I am offering for sale a 18th Century hand painted portrait on natural material of French King Francis I, who lived from 1494 through 1547. He is known for among other things for constructing the Chateau of Chambord and renovating the Chateaux of Blois, Amboise, Fontainebleau, and the Louvre. It is framed under glass and some of the photos show reflection of light. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. It measures 5 1/2" x 4 7/8".
