Hand Decorated Delft Plate. The text is in French and states the plaque is for the favourite horse of "Mare Grandy" - it has been suggested that this may be a reference to John Manners, Marquis of Granby, Colonel of "The Blues" during the Battle of Warburg, 1760 (Seven Years' War) and the plaque is contemporary with the date, although we have been unable to confirm this.
