1: Gloss Varnish the model or the area you would like to apply the transfer ( I use either Army Painter Gloss Varnish via brush or Hycote Clear Lacquer for spray). These are also not pre-cut icons like in a GW transfer box, you have to cut around the icon yourself on the clear film part so there is an edge to work with.
