An exceptional late 18th-century table snuff box, dating to around the 1780s, and remarkable both for its size and its artistry. This round snuff box is sturdily constructed, with two silver rims (unmarked, as often found in pieces of this period), enclosing a rich faux tortoiseshell base and interior.
