An antique jug featuring a rural scene with two Belgian flags; tricolors with three vertical bands of black, yellow. There are the handpainted dates 1914-1915 and 1916. I wonder if the date 1916, on its own at the foot of the jug, refers to the Battle of Mont Sorrel, near Ypres in June 1919.
