A lovely example of a tortoise shell silver and abalone inlaid snuff box. I would suggest early 19th century but they are difficult to date. Beautifully inlaid with filigree silver with tiny abalone shell stars. Silver inlay excellent. One of the stars is possibly missing. About 2.5” long Hinge fine. Lid fits fine. Closes tightly. Great patina. Very tactile. A great example.
