Biscuit Tin 1960 Silver Sixpence Coin Waitrose Collectable 6d Coin

£10.50

Just couldn’t resist this when it was on sale a few years ago, a biscuit tin in the shape and style of a silver sixpence - a pre decimal coin. The biscuits are long gone - the empty tin is for sale here. This is a tin with a lid. For anyone born in, or have an event/anniversary in 1960, this is wonderfully nostalgic. Tin is in excellent condition, never used after the biscuits had been eaten up, and has been carefully kept in a cupboard ever since. It is a really good copy of the real coin, even down to the ridges around the edges. It is the ‘tails’ side only - the underside of the tin is plain, with the Waitrose label on it. 4 countries of the realm represented - thistle, rose, leek, shamrock. Thank you for looking.
