Boer War / WWI British Army Military Trench Candle Lamp Marked on the back is a cresent moon design probably made by MAW , London Used in the trenches and medical stations. The stand is adjustable and it has carry handle at the back. The bottom stand unscrews to reveal a compartment for storing matches and also has 2 small hooks for hanging. In the closed position it measures approx. 14.3 cm tall. With it full extended it is approx. 23 cm In good used original condition. No obvious damage, no cracks or splits. Just a lovely worn age related patina.
