A 1980s vintage Joint Services stable belt with older pattern gilt General Service ERII buckle. Worn by personnel attached to tri-service headquarters or communications stations, the colours from top to bottom represent the Royal Navy, Army and RAF. The belt is fully adjustable for length and the fabric is in very good condition. The buckle has lost some of its surface gilding through service wear, but otherwise in very good condition. Later versions of this belt, whilst retaining the colours, have a different style of buckle or just straps.
