A rare and historic commemorative medal presented by Aberdeen City Council on 1st July 2006 to mark the granting of the Freedom of the City of Aberdeen to The Highlanders, 4th Battalion, The Royal Regiment of Scotland. A prestigious civic honour and a significant piece of Scottish military history. The medal is in excellent condition, gold coloured with beautifully detailed engraving on both sides — the Aberdeen City Council coat of arms on one face and the Royal Regiment of Scotland badge on the other. Comes in its original red presentation box with silk lining and embossed crest.
