Here’s the 1st of the caps…. Genuine WW2 Royal Navy Used Officers Black Peaked Cap by Gieves of Portsmouth. This size 56 RN officers cap is in good used wartime worn condition with bags of patina commensurate with its age. You can just see the gentleman’s outfitters label within for Gieves of London & Portsmouth and the previous owner “Lt Jack Crawford RN” has written his name to the leather inner rim. Crawford, spent most of the war on minesweepers called HMS Lagunna Bell & HMS Halycon as a 1st Lt and laterly as the commanding officer.
