The silver shovel is crisply struck with Scottish hallmarks, including the thistle and Edinburgh castle, and retains excellent definition for its age. A fine and genuine Georgian Scottish silver snuff shovel, Edinburgh assay, dating to circa 1795–1810, with an elegant carved horn handle.
