This type of soundbox was not generally made with regular Steel needles in mind due to the weight. A newly pressed Aluminium Diaphragm of the correct gauge, which is a thinner type used in the 1920's by E.M.G that is louder & clearer than earlier, thicker types & that follows the design of the types used by EXPERT & E.M.G & the tone is really, very nice !
