Originally sold as a decorative novelty container filled with biscuits or tea . Chinoiserie style design with illustrations of the historical tea trade showing tea harvesting, tasting, traditional junk boats, and European trading vessels.Estimated era is 1920s to 1930s. In good condition with no dents or scratches, although the lithographed panels look slightly faded.
