This is an interesting piece as it bears a rather weak autograph of Ivor Novello but unique in that his friend /financier who backed all his shows and helped with the songs has also signed. Jack Lursey was an American businessman who along with his wife took to Novello he stayed frequently at their homes. Jack was also at the centre of Ivor’s ‘Naughty Set’ which included Noel Coward and theatrical stars. The autograph was collected by Ursula Jeans theatre and film star 1906- 1973 a friend and someone Novello worked with on stage and film.The reverse has been signed by film star Jill Esmond 1908 -1990 film star and at the time was married to Laurence Olivier A rare piece of Novello history.
