A M31 WW2 German aluminium canteen with early marking of HKZ41 to neck and 41 to screw top. This is for the metal work factory of Ludwigschmatt and dated 1941. The cup is clearly marked TSR40 indicating it was manufactured in the Thomas Sturm factory in 1940. Non matching but often the case but non the less early war period. Leather still supple but I suspect the felt is a repro probably due to moth damage to the original. Ideal for reenactment or display.
