MARGOT ASQUITH COUNTESS OXFORD - LETTER AFTER HUSBAND FORMER PM ASQUITH DEATH

£47.50

Rather complicated to explain ! This is a letter by the wife of former Prime Minister Herbert Henry Asquith Margot Asquith the Countess Oxford 1864-1945 . It is written in 1928 the year her husband died. She is writing to the 2nd Lord Asquith Julian. Thanking him for his commiserations after her husband’s death and stating she remembers the good times they had spent together Interesting letter but a little confusing. Margot herself was a British socialite and author. Letter in very good condition dated 1928.
