A MID VICTORIAN BRONZE UNIFORM BUTTON OF A RESRVE ARMY OFFICER. A large bronze button measuring 25mm diameter with a a patent East & West loop fitting to the back. In very good condition overall as images, having light wear to the highlights and displaying a superb overall toned patina. The button is by SMITH & WRIGHT, BIRMINGHAM, and has the unique East & West patent fitting which keeps the button face design vertical. The button dates from 1855-1875.
