Another old wireless from the recent clearance of a private collection of vintage audio. This time a very rare and unusual battery/mains portable launched in 1954. Its of good sturdy construction, reminiscent of a Marshall amp, with a nifty flip up display. This one is in good working order and when found appeared to still be in daily use. The only real faults are that one of the display bulbs has failed and there is a crack in the back of the flip up display, see final pic. So all in all a lovely piece of British audio history.
