The Myott Son & Co white military chamber pot is a ceramic collectable piece originating from England during World War II. The backstamp shows it was manufactured in 1942 and the G.vi R. stamp served as official government authorization showing the piece was produced under wartime regulations as an official piece of wartime military issue. During this period, factories had to produce plain, durable white earthenware such as this. There are no cracks but there is crazing as expected on such a functional item.
