My Parents had a small collection of these Porcelain Figurines of French Soldiers in the Uniforms worn durring the Napoleonic Wars Period circa 1790-1820. The figures are handcrafted and hand painted. Produced using under and on-glaze hand painting techniques. This type of production adds to their value as fine decorative and collectable items. Made in Germany durring the 1950's & 1960's. This Marechal de'Empire is very nicely painted in Dark Gray and Orange. Gold epelets and gold medallionat the waist. Long Black Boots and a Tricore Hat, with a feather plumage complete the outfit. His facial features are really nicely painted. This is a excellent condition figure from the collection.
