The REPRODUCTION Grand Cross of the Portuguese Order of the Tower, which was established in 1459 by King Afonzo V of Portugal. The medal is a five-armed star topped by a depiction of a tower. There are laurel wreaths between the arms of the star. The central disk features laurel wreaths, around this is the orders motto - "Valor Lealdade e Mérito" meaning ‘Valour, Loyalty and Merit’. PLEASE NOTE: THIS MEDAL IS SINGLE SIDED AND THERE IS SOME TARNISHING TO THE REVERSE. This medal is NOT supplied with neck ribbon. This medal would grace any enthusiasts’ collection or could be used as part of a theatrical costume.
