Original 1939 Brodie Style Air Raid Wardens Steel Helmet size 6 3/4 stamped on the inner support S& D Ltd. Stamped GX 1939 on the inner rim. The outer shell has its original black paint with a few surface rust spots. The W is in original condition. The inner is painted khaki green showing its origin as an army helmet. Has age related marks to the inside and outside and the shoe lace for the adjustment has snapped. The chin strap is in really good condition and retains its elasticity.
