THE VILDEBEEST AEROPLANE. Vickers Vildebeest was a large 2/3 seat military biplane which first flew in 1928 and was intended as a land-based torpedo bomber. 209 examples were built but their service life was short as the age of the biplane was ending and they were obsolete by the start of WW2.
