This is a vintage British Grocers' Federation Christmas 1914 tin featuring an image of . It was issued to troops during World War I. Issued to British and Empire servicemen at the front line. The contents varied but included items like sweets, cigarettes, tobacco, or chocolate. The initiative was separate from, but similar to, the Princess Mary 1914 Christmas Tin. The reverse of the tin bears text with "Best Wishes from British Grocers Fedaration. The tin does obviously show signs of wear, and has a small dents running up the left side near the seam.
