An original 1914 one piece Iron Cross First Class. Factory vaulted. Frosted silver finished frame and black painted "core". I was informed by a very knowledgeable guy on the Wehrmacht Awards Forum that the manufacturer of this particular one piece EKI is at the present time unknown but has similar characteristics to Schickle and Petz & Lorenz one piece Crosses. As can be seen in the photos, the original pin system is missing and a replacement safety pin has been crudely lead soldered to the reverse, probably contemporary to the period. Still a rare Cross though and I've priced it to sell. Displays very well. Any questions, please ask.
