GENUINE VINTAGE Mk XIV altimeter, as fitted to later Supermarine Spitfires, Gloster Meteor and Vampires etc. As fitted to British combat aircraft from the late 1940s to the 50s. 3 1/4 inches (82mm) across by 4 inches (100mm) deep. Made from bakelite. Good vintage condition with no dings, damage or repairs. Front adjustment knob works ok. Marked on dial REF NO 6A/6680. The bakelite case is stamped with War Department Broad Arrow, K (for manufacturer, KELVIN) & has scratched servicing marks (see photos). It is an interesting piece of WWII RAF history, and would make a fabulous display piece, and be a great addition to any collection. Please see the photos for condition and type.
