This is a vintage 1950s or 1960s "De-Luxe" Japanese crystal pocket radio, often sold as an educational toy or novelty item. Crystal radios operate without batteries, requiring only the included antenna wire (often clipped to objects like bedsprings) to receive signals. It includes a piezoelectric earphone for listening, which often meant only one person could listen at a time. These miniature radios were popular early electronic kits before inexpensive transistor radios became common. The radio is untested and photos form part of the listing in condition. There appears to be a little gap on the cover on one corner.
