This is a rare variant of this c1900-02 Boer War vintage matchholder/striker with a sepia Print of Rudyard Kipling The Absent Minded Beggar and a picture of A Gentleman In Khaki.It is unusual in also having a Scottish soldier holding a notepad.It is manufactured by MACINTYRE Burslem England and is in an excellent condition with just some wear to the gilding and it’s measurements are 8.5cm in diameter x 6.9cm tall.
