The REPRODUCTION of the Grand-Duchy of Baden Merit Order of Karl-Friedrich Grand Cross Star. This Order was instituted on 5 October 1805 by Charles Frederick – later Grand Duke of Baden. The order is a cross with rays between the arms of the cross. The central depiction of the star is a Griffin, with the orders motto on the outer ring of the central disk - “Für Badens Ehre" meaning ‘For Badens Honour’. PLEASE NOTE: The medal has NO PIN to allow attachment to clothing. There is some MINOR tarnishing to the reverse of the star. This star would grace any enthusiasts’ collection or could be used as part of a theatrical costume.
