Founded in 1430 in Bruges, theAustrian Order of the Golden Fleece was founded by Philip the Good, Duke of Burgundy, to celebrate his marriage to Isabella of Portugal. The richly detailed design features aroyal crown atop a red laurel and is finished with agolden fleece, represented by a sheep.
