Bemrose served with the RAF 2nd tactical air force and British Air Forces of Occupation as a fitter with the rank of Corporal. He was demobbed in 1946. The pages of the book that are larger than the covers are very creased and ripped, the covers and spine are worn and creased, the smaller pages are in very good condition.
