Snuff Box Georgian / Victorian C 1800-1900 Cowrie Shell with Silver Metal Mount Rare little thing. Made to a very high standard with good attention to detail. Stamped GG which possibly indicates it being Scottish. Also has the owners initials engraved. The metal is more than likely brass silvered. The shell is a tiger shell and at some point it has been broken and has been repaired by someone that is good and particulate about there work. Maybe a sailor or a gipsy repairer.
