The REPRODUCTION of the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Order of the Wendish crown which was established on the 12 May 1864 by Grand Duke Friedrich Franz II. The star is eight-pointed, with the central feature being the Wendish Crown and the orders’ motto – “PER ASPERA AD ASTRA” PLEASE NOTE: THE STAR HAS NO PIN TO ALLOW ATTACHMENT TO CLOTHING AND THERE IS A SLIGHT FLAW / SCRATCH ON THE CENTRAL DISK OF THE STAR AS OUTLINED IN THE FINAL PHOTO. This order would grace any enthusiasts’ collection or could be used as part of a theatrical costume.
