Originally bought at auction as a present from a very good auction house.Copy of lot shown and will be enclosed with item. I was told that this would have been made from spares taken from Supermarine Spitfires by riggers and made into usable objects during WWII. And would have been a one off A well made item with red brown SRBP material probably taken from old seats (and fashioned into a handle). Heavy brass mountings and steel blade. Some marks on the blade and could do with a polish if required but otherwise very sturdy and fit for use or display. 31cm long and for extra insurance I will send by Special Delivery insured post, free to buyer
