Pottery tortoise money box by Trentham Artware from Bovey Tracey in Devon. Dates from the 1970’s. In fabulous bright orange and turquoise. From the tip of his nose to his tail measures approximately 22cm. Height about 10 cm. Width about 13.5cm. Overall in good condition with no chips but is missing the bung and has a couple of hairline fractures underneath from bung hole. If you look carefully at the coin slot there are a couple of white patches, this isn't wear, it's just missing the orange colour but is shiny so has some glaze. A little bit of crazing but would make a great decorators’ piece. Any questions please feel free to ask.
