This is a 1940 dated, hardback publication written by U Boat captain Gunter Prien. The book covers Prien's WW1 U Boat career, as well as his rise to fame in 1940/41. The book has a split to the back section of the spine, which needs some attention the book is otherwise, in very good condition. It is packed throughout, with photos from Prien's WW1 service upto his WW2 service. The book originally was owner by a wartime, German serviceman, who annotated it in 1943, as shown, at the front, of the book.
