Scarce Wallace patent entrenching tool in use with both 1882 & 1888 patterns of valise equipment and into WW1. Complete and solid condition, as found uncleaned with evidence of long service use throughout. Wood complete & remains hard & solid with scattered evidence of old woodworm.
