A true piece of history is this 1920s sterling silver fluid fuelled lighter The two piece silver casing remains in good condition with a patina commensurate with age and use Lovely guilloché finish and an ergonomic design with ‘swelled edges’ Bold hallmarks decorated the inside of the case telling us the piece was made by William Base & Sons and assayed in Birmingham in 1928 The original insert remains in good working order.
