However it works more strongly with a 'split wire' FM aerial. It has a built-in ferrite rod aerial and also an FM aerial built in to the back cover. I have done nothing to it electrically but it still works on VHF/FM and receives the strong local station here very well, however it doesnt receive the weaker stations so well although they can be heard quietly.
