Vintage British Military War Department “Instrument Testing No.1”. I know nothing about this but it looks to be a Battery Tester / Ohms Meter. Untested. I found it on a shelf at the back of my workshop. Probably safest to assume it doesn’t work (although it might!) Meter scale is quite yellowed - but I’m not surprised after 85 years. Casing is undamaged and quite clean. Dated 1941. Instructions on the back. I thought it would have a battery inside but I popped the cover off quickly and it doesn’t.
