This is a commemorative patch for the Jagdgeschwader 3 (JG-3), also known as Fighter Wing 3 "Wladimir Komarow". The unit was part of the East German Air Force (NVA - National People's Army). It operated out of Preschen Air Base, primarily flying MiG-21 and MiG-29 fighter jets. Patch is in extremely good condition and possibly unused (like new). Appears to be an authentic Cold War era patch, with the messy back, and is 4.5” high. Please see pictures to confirm.
