This vintage French 19th century Cavalry Dolman style tunic jacket is made from a dark navy melton wool and has lovely black frogging to the front and back. It also has ornate gold Russia braiding on the sleeves. All the original brass buttons are present on this jacket, including epaulettes. There are some small holes as photos show. but not many considering it's age. The lining has also got some damage. but this is also to be expected for it's age. In general it hasn't had heavy wear. The jacket measures 17" across the shoulders, 20" across the chest. 25" sleeve length and 28" from bottom of collar to hem. The sleeves have been shortened at some point and could be lengthened by an inch if needed.
