A vintage French infantry barrack tunic jacket which is dated to 1906. It is made from a dark navy melton wool with a heavy cotton lining. The lining has extensive issue stamps. regimental, size and date. There is also an internal pocket. It is in very good condition except some damage to the collar at the back. It is unclear as to whether the insignia is original to the jacket, but there is a button missing on one shoulder epaulette and a waist belt loop. The jacket measures 20" armpit to armpit, 38" waist, 24" sleeve length, 17" across the shoulders and 21" from bottom of collar to hem of jacket.
