This "Lyons Maid Ice Cream" usher's cinema or theatre display tray is in "as found" condition. This tray would have been used to sell "Lyons Maid Ice Cream" in the cinema or theatre during the interval. There are no cracks or splits to the wood and the tray has retained much of its' original cream paintwork and much of its' red lettering and detailing, however, there are areas of missing paint, particularly to the corners and edges, fading and rubbing to the red lettering, mainly to one side where the strap has rubbed and there has been a little paint added to the cream lettering on this side. There are also the inevitable scuffs, stains, marks and scratches that you would expect from an item of this age and use. The straps to one side appears to have been moved and part of the strap has become un-stitched on the other side..
