Vintage Quorn Custard Powder Tin c1920

£60

This wonderful "Quorn" custard powder tin is in "as found" condition. The custard was manufactured by "Quorn Specialities Company" of Leicester. The company was named after The Quorn fox hunt and was established in the early 1900s. Their vans and custard tins were colourfully illustrated with hunting scenes. The superb illustrations and lettering have a good depth of colour, however, there are fading, losses, scuffs and small dents in places. The rims of the lid and bottom have lost their silvering and there are rust marks and blemishes too. The inside of the lid has the instructions for making a 'pint of creamy custard', but the lettering has faded in places. I have tried to show the condition in the photographs. The tin measures 10 cm (4 inches) high by 9.5 cm (3 3/4inches) across. Please be aware that customs or import duties may apply.
