While the lithograph itself was produced in 1940, the reverse of this piece features a rare, highly collectable original framing label dated 1945, complete with the original framing location. It was commissioned and printed in Great Britain during the war by Penguin Books and W.S. Cowell Ltd. in a limited run of 25,000 copies to boost public morale.
