For sale is a nice example of a WW1 leather jerkin. This example fits as a size L. First World War examples have a dark khaki or blue lining, removable 'football' buttons and are of a boxy shape and often made with offcuts. This jerkin has all of these features. I believe this example was then reissued and labelled in the interwar period (hence the stitching where the label would affix). The leather has some she related damage which is photographed but remains largely supple. A nice scarce uniform piece for the First World War collector.
