This is a genuine, WW1 Red Cross Piece of Genuine Zeppelin Wire which was recovered from the first zeppelin brought down at Cuffley in Essex, September 3rd 1916. The small piece of Zeppelin wire has been mounted on a card-backed pin and fashioned into a brooch to be worn as a display of patriotism and fervour for the war effort.
