Badge Number "B249439" John Harrison enlisted on the 8th of November 1915. He served in the Liverpool Regiment (numbers 4138 and 267229). On the 15th of September 1916 at High Wood whilst the battalion was being relieved, he was wounded via gunshot wound to the right shoulder blade (likely a large piece of shrapnel as he was left with a 1.5 inch scar). He was admitted to the Beaufort War Hospital on the 15th. On April 27th 1918, he transferred from the 25th Battalion to the 27th Battalion. He was discharged on the 24th of February 1919 with a gunshot wound to the back. It was noted that any movement of his right arm caused bad pains due to the wound.
